Happy Ayyam-i-Ha!

These next 4 days 2.26 through 3.1 are the Intercalary days before the Baha'i Fast; these days are Baha'i Holiday celebrating family and friendship.
"...the Intercalary Days (Ayyam-i-Ha) are the four days of the year (five days in leap year) which fall between the eighteenth and nineteenth month of the Bahá'í Calendar (Mulk and 'Ala'), February 26 to March 1. These days are set aside for hospitality, gift-giving, special acts of charity, and preparing for the Fast."

Things have been smooth sailing so far with our little family. Eric has midterms next week, I have THE exam next week (finallly!). I will be done studying and on to preparing for our little one to arrive. We have 2 weeks left until we have our next OB appointment, we will get to see the baby again. I know the baby will look very different from when we were 8 weeks along :) I am feeling our little one move and squirming at night for the first time, very active at night of course, like his/her Daddy. The baby is the size of a Mango and continues to grow bigger and bigger along with Mommy. I have started yoga this week and it has helped keep away the leg cramps at night, thank goodness!

We missed week 18 pics, opps! Sorry about that :)

Much Love,

Week 16 & 17

No movement that I can feel yet from our little one, but after going to the OB and trying to get the heart rate, I know the baby is moving like crazy :) Baby's heart rate is strong and normal at 150bpm. Things have been great so far, not feeling too bad at all, just tired at the end of the day. I have two and a half weeks left then I get to take my exam and be done studying!

This week is supposed to warm and melt all the snow!! Looking forward to spring and getting to do more outdoors. We are getting ready for all the Baha'i holiday celebrations! We have Ayyam-i-Ha (before the Baha'i Fast) 4 days long 2/26-3/1, Baha'i Fast 3/2-3/20 then Naw Ruz 3/20 (Happy New Year!).

Also looking forward to visiting my friends and family more when I am done studying... whew!

Here a few pics from the last week... I've not grown too much, but the baby is the size of an onion and growing adipose tissue and muscles. The baby can recognize my voice and respond to my touch :) Here we go... starting to grow and grow... (yes... Dad those are my poetic skills :) )

Week 15 & Winter storm 2011!

Well, this week was a really cold and icy week, we got about an 1 1/2 inches of ice and today we are getting 3+ inches of snow on top of it.... whew! They say this past week's winter storm is going down in history for the U.S. history top 3 worst storms in history. My little one is still cozy and warm though :)

We are 16 weeks along and baby is the size of an avacado :) (I love avacados!!) Baby has the ears and eyes in the right places and is building adipose tissue and muscles around the ossifying bones. I'm feeling good, just studying hard for my big exam and Daddy is studying hard for classes.
