Today (my 28th new year), I thought, is a wonderful day to announce we are expecting our first child.
We are in the beginning of the 2nd Trimester and our little one is about the size of a small apple. He/She is growing at a faster pace with all the essentials in place and he/she is focused on improving the body systems' function and efficiency. She/He is now getting nutrients from my placenta, and is very actively moving, although I have yet to feel him/her, and as of 2 weeks ago, the heart rate was 160 bpm steady and normal.
We are definitely overwhelmed with excitement, nervousness and we are in the middle of trying to move into our new place... which is going super duper slow.
He/She will be due on July 21st and I am 14 weeks along and my belly is slowly rising.
As of other important information, I am have been working 7 months at my new job outside of Indy and really do enjoy my patients, my supervisors and my co-workers. I am getting ready to take my Orthopedic Certified Specialist exam March 3rd, so my weekends have been full of studying and relaxing with my husband.
Eric started his 2nd of 3 semesters last week and has all Engineering classes this semester. He really feels he found a passion in Engineering for Strength & Materials. He is currently searching for an internship in Indianapolis for the summer and will graduate December 2011 with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Can't wait for him!!
We miss all of our friends our West and the outdoors life there. Can't wait to visit again.
