Kyra: 11 months

11th month milestones:

Crawling quickly on hands/knees
Timidly walking with walking toys and support
Cruising along furniture
Clapping
Saying "Hi-iii" with a high low pitch
Signing "more" (finally)
Throwing your food when you're done (we're working on "all done" still)
Pointing at everything- saying "Ba tat"-- "what's that"
Drinking out of straw cup
Sleeping hasn't changed much- you are transitioning to one nap
Playing Peek-a-Boo
One more tooth is coming in
Pointing to your nose and mouth
Tickle your tummy- saying tickle tickle

What you love:
Music Together Class- every Monday :)
Dancing to your Music Together CD and Let It Go (Frozen)- (Fayola's fav)
Climbing on Fayola's chair and everything else

Singing & playing with instruments

Kyra~ You are full of energy and movement. You are very animated with everything, whether you are happy, frustrated, curious, and silly. You are really enjoy playing in the circus tent from IKEA we got for Fayola last Christmas. There are times I swear I hear you sing the pitch and melody to songs. You still are not sleeping through the night... whew. Usually you are waking just one time, and there are some nights you make it the whole night. You continue to nurse really well with mom, we are cutting back on how often now that you are eating so much food. Your Birthday celebration is just a few weeks away... wow has this year flown by. Next post of you will be your Birthday pics!

10th month milestones:

Kissing & Hugging
Throwing Chloe's toy and pulling her ears

Pulling to kneeling & standing
Almost hands/knees crawling

Transition to sitting and standing consistently

Kind of sleeping through the night (only one night :)- usually wake up 1x-2x

Signing "all done", "milk", "hi", "bye"

First word "hi"

Saying "mama", "daddy", "buh-bye", "hi"
End of this month you started to pull to stand on all of the furniture and starting to cruise slowly

Kyra,

Your personality continues to be bubbling and bright! You love to make others laugh, you love to be held, you love to be around people. You are very good at taking a risk and trying new movements and toys, great curiosity. You are very interested in noisy toys, playing with Chloe, swimming, straps on carseat, stroller, etc. You are still nursing quite well with mom, and now love new foods like meat, and lots of veggies. You will be playing very contently when mommy walks in the door from work, but the moment you see me... you start crawling and screaming towards mommy. Daddy taught you to kiss... so now we get opened mouth kisses when we ask. :) We look forward to seeing you move and explore the world this next month.

Fayola's 3rd Birthday!

We had a blast at Fayola's 3rd Birthday! Thank you to my Uncle, Aunt & cousins for hosting her party, preparing the food, and Taylor for making all the amazing cupcakes! We had some many wonderful family members come to celebrate. It almost seemed like a reunion. Oh how we miss our family and thank God for the time we had together, celebrating life and love.

Kyra, your personality is continuing to shine through. You are a screamer when you communicate, you go ahhh! to get someone's attention, especially when you are "all done", and you and Fayola get in these screaming matches at the dinner table, it's so funny, and crazy loud. You are very outgoing, love to smile big and very active. You continue to army crawl all over the place. We love you dearly, you've added such energy to our family my love.
