Candy Corn Princess & Birthday celebration!

No baby girl yet... we are very anxious to meet her, but until it is "time", we can only do things to encourage her exit and continue to have fun this Fall with Fayola. My Dad & Lisa came to visit, in hopes they would be here for the arrival of our new addition. It was a wonderful time to visit and relax together. Each day I feel the contractions are more intense and frequent, so we will see what tomorrow holds. For now, we wait.

Last days of pregnancy

I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant, and anxiously awaiting the arrival of my second daughter. She is a moving, grooving and not ready to come out of the womb. I have had roller coaster of contractions for about 3 weeks now, thinking she may come early, to now... not quite sure. There will be days where there are intense contractions and days where there are very few.
Overall, this pregnancy was very similar to the one I had with Fayola. Normal weight gains, normal heart rates, limited nausea, very bad smell aversions, cramping has been less in the legs. BUT, way more tired now that I have a young child to chase around :) We believe we will be in Peoria, IL again next year, so we don't have to worry about another big move, although we will be moving out of our current place to something new. I am excited to raise another beautiful girl in this world, and teach her to know and worship God, to love all peoples, and to create a healthy environment for sisterhood to develop. I pray above all else, that my two daughters will have a future full of blessings and a beautiful, loyal friendship.

Thank you to all of you that have kept us in your prayers and thoughts. This will be my last post... maybe before I have my next daughter. Much love to you all!

Apple Orchard & Pumpkins

Well there is no baby girl yet :) We are waiting patiently for her arrival. In the mean time we are having fun this fall and trying to fit in all the festivities while we have the time.  We had a blast at Tanner's Apple Orchard here in Central Illinois. Fall is the best in the Midwest :)

Welcoming Fall

Fall season is finally here! Although it still feels like summer, and I am not complaining. Soon enough it will be freezing here in the Midwest, which I am not a huge fan.

We were able to meet with some of our close friends, the Mathews', for our yearly fall mini-vacation with the kids. They traveled near us this year to Springfield, IL, we enjoyed ourselves! The weekend went by way too fast, so next year we are planning to make it a longer trip. :)

We also made our last road trip with only one daughter to Terre Haute, IN this past weekend to go to a wedding and visit with the Grandma & Grandpa. It was relaxing and nice to spend time out on the farm. Fayola adores her Grandma and Grandpa, so she really enjoyed herself! (Unfortunately she caught some bug and has been sick this week :(... again, her immune system has been tested to no other end this year).

I am 35 weeks along, and I did have a bit of unexpected contractions this weekend, which have quieted down for the most part. I am 1cm dilated, but not thinning out yet. This little girl is moving and grooving all day long inside and I am so excited to meet her. We do not have a name picked out just yet, we both feel we need to see her sweet and beautiful face before we name her.

We also got to go to Amy's wedding and see Amy & Angie briefly!

Congratulations to Amy!!

Soulfriend & I

Eric is doing well at his job and LOVES what he does. He is very content with his job position. But, we do have one more rotation and we find out our choices this month, it's just a waiting game right now. We should know what his next job is by the end of this month.

Next posting is probably going to be either of Halloween, or our new baby girl. If I can make it to October 12th we will be in good shape. We could have her here in a little as 9 days or as many as 20+. We will see what she decides to do :)
