It's been quite some time since I last posted any type of update on here. We have had quite a whirl wind of activities and events.
We headed out to Cleveland/Pittsburgh for the Christmas Holiday and really had a wonderful time visiting :)
Fayola and I went out to San Diego at the beginning of January and had a blast! We visited Angie :)
THEN....
We moved to Peoria, IL for Eric's CAT job.
Fayola has started daycare and I am back to work part-time. She has been sick 4 times since we moved here, she currently has a cold right now :( It's been quite tiresome for all of us... but Fayola the most. Fayola has truly been advancing with her speech, she can sing ABCs, twinkle twinkle little star, she is speaking in small sentences, she has a little firey attitude, very intense observer, and has enjoyed her new friends at daycare.
We are in our new apartment on the first floor and it is brand new, but it has it's downfalls... crazy 3 year old above us who jumps until midnight... sigh... We had some plumbing issues as well.
We've already had two sets of friends visit us in the 6 weeks we've been here. The Mathews'! They are our family and we had a wonderful time with them celebrating Ayyam-i-Ha.
Then my dear friend, Caryn, traveled all the way here from San Francisco... we had a cold weekend when she was here, but it was so special to just spend time together.
Eric likes his new job, but he has been working as much overtime as he
was in Joliet, so... we only have Sundays together until mid-April we
think. He has been working long hours to learn his new job role, but he is very excited to be closer to the Headquarters of CAT to do more events and networking.
I am enjoying seeing patients again in Outpatient setting, but I have to say that I am looking forward to the day that I get to be home more often again. I truly miss being home every day with Fayola, last year was such a blessing and very special.
We are definitely looking forward to Springtime and summer to see what Peoria has to offer. We then make our decision on our last rotation this Oct/Nov. We will see where God leads us.
Pictures to follow soon.... or later.
